Quotes

Samurai Jack: [Echoing his father from memory] You have chosen this path. Life works in strange ways. Your choices have clearly lead you here, as have mine. I will give you a new choice: Leave here now and live. Or stay and face your destiny.
Ashi: Our destiny is your death!
Samurai Jack: So... I guess you're staying. Perhaps I was unclear.
Ashi: Enough words! Show yourself, samurai, so you can die!
Samurai Jack: Very well. The decisions you make, and the actions that follow, are a reflection...
Ashi: [interrupting] SHUT UP!
Samurai Jack: [continuing] Of who you really ...

He made his choice
26 March 2017 | by ericstevensonSee all my reviews

This episode shows the process of Jack healing his sword wound or rather his knife wound. It's just amazing how much more intense this show has gotten with all the detail put into how he literally thrusts it out of his body! He goes to a cave and meets a wolf whom he manages to get some warmth from. As you might have guessed, we address the fact that Jack just literally killed a person and he's once again tormented by visions of himself saying that he won't be able to do it again and will probably just let himself die. The animation is as gorgeous as ever. I think it's a pretty realistic representation of a wound like that.

So Jack confronts the assassins again and gives him a chance to leave or die. He actually does end up literally killing them all. Well, there are some who fall off a cliff that he too falls off. I guess you could argue that if he survived that, so would they. We get to see the unique weapons they have and it never gets the feeling that the job is easier as fewer of them come after him. The best part is probably when they all come behind each other to look like some multi-weaponed enemy. ****
