Sex & Nudity

  • A teenage boy is shown mooning a car for a few seconds.
  • Two female characters make out. They kiss while shirtless and briefly start groping each other but are interrupted.
  • A teenage boy squeezes a girl's butt while they are kissing.
  • Several characters are seen in their underwear.
  • A teenage boy carries around a sex doll.
  • It is implied that a teenager masturbates in front of a mirror. Nothing is shown, only implied.
  • A teenage boy makes several references to an evil female spirit being sexy.
  • There are some sensual scenes of teen kissing but nothing too much

Violence & Gore

  • Frequent horror violence with blood applied to the killings.
  • A group of teens get into a car accident. Mild blood.
  • A girl is slashed across the stomach. Some blood is seen. She is later stabbed in the chest and dies. The knife is shown for a long time.
  • A teenage boy is shot in the head from behind. The exit wound is clearly visible.
  • A girl is shot in the head and falls over. The wound oozes black blood and her eyeball is seen on the ground.
  • A teenager is stabbed in the chest from behind. The camera pans down to the tip of the blade sticking out with some blood.
  • A dead nurse is seen with her throat cut. Another nurse is then stabbed through the bottom of his mouth. Bloody.
  • A couple characters get mild nosebleeds.
  • Several characters are shown being stabbed in the stomach or chest. Oftentimes we see the knife being pulled out.
  • Several teenagers get into a fistfight. It is a mild scuffle, no blood.
  • A teenage girl is stabbed in the stomach with half of a broken drumstick. She then falls to the ground.
  • A teenage girl almost gets stabbed in the stomach, but the book she's holding blocks the knife.
  • Girl is shown during flashback slitting another girls throat from behind.


  • Occasional uses of "fuck", "shit", "damn" and "ass".
  • Couple instances of slurs against gay characters ("Lesbo", "Bulldyke")
  • Around a minute in, there's a use of the middle finger.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • One character sells a variety of prescription drugs. They are occasionally shown.
  • A teen girl is shown sorting pills on a table in front of other teens. Another teen goes through the pills stating what each one's effect is.
  • Several bottles of alcohol are thrown at a moving school bus.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The opening death scene is very lengthy and intense.
  • Many of the stabbings are very bloody. Characters often grapple with the killer before being killed, which can be upsetting.
  • The whole atmosphere of the movie is dark and ominous, with many references made to witchcraft, possession, and reanimating dead people.
  • Many characters are stalked or chased by the killer, which is very tense.

Violence & Gore

  • A character's head is pushed into a bread slicer and the head is seen being sliced and its brief aftermath is seen. Lots of blood. This is the most brutal part of the whole film.
  • A teenage boy is axed in the head. Very quick but frightening.
  • A girl is (willingly) drowned in a tank of water by another girl. It takes a while for her to succumb but she is later revived.
  • Several evil spirits are lured into a room with a trail of blood and then set on fire.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A teenage girl purposely overdoses on a number of different pills in order to die and then be revived. She is later seen visibly sick and vomits but does not completely OD. This scene could be very upsetting for some.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The climax, which features the axe scene, drowning scene and bread slicer scene, is especially graphic and frightening.
