While working the murder case of one of the last survivors of the USS Arizona, McGarrett learns about his grandfather's important role at Pearl Harbor. Also, Adam uncovers bone fragments at his new construction job and asks Jerry to help him discreetly investigate.

When Steve and Danny are watching the second interview from the documentary, the gentleman speaking is named Michael Murphy and his rank is a Lieutenant, this is a notable nod to LT Mike Murphy, SEAL, who was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions in Afghanistan. He was killed during the operation along with 2 of his team members. His story can be read about in "Lone Survivor" written by Marcus Luttrell which was also turned into a movie. See more
