Storyline

"Dragon Cry" - it's a magic artifact, that power can destroy the world. For a long time she was kept in the Kingdom of Fiore, but in the end was stolen by the Kingdom of Stella. The main characters (Natsu, Lucy, Gray, Erza, Wendy, Happy and Carla) penetrate into the Kingdom on a mission undercover. In the end they will have to deal with the King Animus and his entourage (Zach and Sonya). The purpose of the Animus to enslave the world? And Sonya was secretly trying to save the country? Expect exciting adventures on the sea of intrigue and save the world. Written by Alex Reid

From Hiro Mashima's interview with WebNewType.com discussing the concept of Dragon Cry:

1. Mashima had drawn the original storyboard, being almost 200 pages worth of content;

2. Mashima wanted the movie to coincide with the climax of the story, although he didn't plan on it happening. Talk of a second movie was brought up directly after Fairy Tail: Phoenix Priestess's screening. Also, while the first movie he wanted the viewers to cry, he wanted the second movie to be more simple with action-filled scenes and flashy battles;

3.A certain character's past that is revealed in the movie which hasn't been touched in the manga. Along with this, there have been parts cut due to restraints while there are parts included only in the movie that the manga couldn't include;

4. Mashima worked on the storyboard as if it were a weekly serialization; See more »

I feel like who ever directed this movie just everyone to see how well they can sexualise everything, to add onto this, it has more plot holes than a sponge called plot, if you want to watch, do not pay the price to see it
