- Hayley is targeted by Galvanax's latest monster; isolated from the other Rangers, Hayley and Redbot and Kody must work together to save themselves.
- Badpipes, a bagpipes-playing Scottish monster, plans to play the Rangers a mesmerizing tune by which they'll hand over their Power Stars. Fortunately, the melody does not affect robots or canines. Meanwhile, with a school dance approaching, Victor aims to impress the ladies with his athletic fleetness of foot (and make up for last year's fall into a punch bowl). Hayley, meanwhile, brushes off a gallant dance invitation from Redbot.—statmanjeff
- With the school's Moonlight Dance at hand, Victor intends to "again" impress the ladies with his athletic prowess. Monty reminds him of last year's stumble into the punch bowl, an incident Victor recalls and says won't happen again.
Sentient robot Redbot finishes reading a beloved fairy tale about a prince inviting a pretty woman to a grand ball. Kody interrupts his afterglow, wanting to play. Hayley apologizes for Kody then heads out to help set up for the school dance. School dance?! Excited, Redbot, on bent knee (just like in his storybook), gallantly invites Hayley to accompany him to the ball. Figuring he's just a robot, she laughs it off and leaves, leaving Redbot disappointed.
Aboard the Warrior Dome, Galaxy Warrior begins with Cosmo Royale kicking it up in a kickline with Kudabots, all brought about by Badpipes, a bagpipes-playing contestant whose music mesmerizes sentient beings into total obedience.
Back at school, Victor decides to practice his moves. He launches into a silly dance, loses control in a mega-twirl, and falls onto a table of goodies, hurling the contents of a filled punch bowl onto Brody and Hayley. Brody and Hayley leave to clean themselves up while Victor directs Monty to make him a dancing king by evening.
In the workshop to clean up, Brody asks Kody about Redbot's whereabouts. Kody barks. Brody asks Hayley for a translation and Hayley says she doesn't speak Dog.
As they continue to wipe off exposed skin (without changing their soaked clothes), Brody comes upon Redbot's storybook and reads "Won't you come with me to the ball?" Hayley recognizes it as exactly what Redbot said to her. Brody reveals that Redbot is more than a robot. He has feelings, which Hayley might have hurt in rejecting him, and that's why he's missing.
Brody heads out to look for Redbot, but Hayley says she and Kody will do it, reminding Brody of his promise to help decorate for the dance.
While tracking Redbot, Kody and Hayley come upon Badpipes. He plays his tune and Hayley instantly offers up her Power Star to him. Redbot suddenly appears and knocks the bagpipes from Badpipes' hands. Hayley sluggishly comes out of her trance.
Hayley and Badpipes fight. At a vulnerable point, Redbot shields her from an energy bolt, which damages his knee. With their need to get away on Redbot's one functioning jet boot, Kody charges in and digs dirt into Badpipes' face. Redbot blasts away to safety with Hayley, with Hayley telling Kody to follow, leaving Badpipes to wipe the dirt from his eyes.
The pair don't get very far before crash landing. Hayley recovers but Redbot suffers system damage. Her Ninja Comm seems damaged as well. She attaches her Ninja Comm to Kody's collar and orders him to get the other Rangers.
Having fashioned an emergency stretcher, Hayley means to drag Redbot out of the woods. Reboot complete, and Redbot fully recovers. Realizing Redbot does have feelings, Hayley apologizes for earlier rejecting him and calls him human.
Hayley calls forth her Mega Morph Cycle by which she and Redbot can now leave the woods.
Meanwhile, Kody finds the Rangers and leads them back to where he left Hayley. Badpipes attacks. Hayley and Redbot see smoke plumage from Badpipes' attack ahead of them and continue straight to meet them.
Preston thanks Kody for warning the four Rangers in time to avoid a direct blast.
Ripcon joins Badpipes. Badpipes plays his mesmerizing tune and the four Rangers immediately fall under his spell, offering up their Power Stars for the taking. Hayley arrives just in time to deliver a plasma blast that breaks the spell. She hops off, telling Redbot to get himself to safety. Ripcon's Double Sword Doom Strike de-morphs Hayley and flattens all the Rangers.
Kody runs in and drags off Badpipes' bagpipes. The teens call forth their Ninja Blasters and destroy the bagpipes. Ripcon threatens; the teens morph into Power Rangers. As Red Ranger takes on Ripcon, the others take on Badpipes.
Ripcon seems to have the advantage over Red Ranger, but Red Ranger reveals Ripcon to have been fighting an animated thatch replica of himself - "Ninja Scarecrow!" Ripcon knocks Red Ranger back on his butt.
Badpipes attacks the other four Rangers with a large folding fan, knocking them on their butts, too.
Before an excited studio crowd, Cosmo Royale announces it's almost over for the Rangers.
Red Ranger bests Ripcon, who admits losing the fight but not the battle and promptly teleports away. Brody leaves to help the others, but before he arrives, the others blast Badpipes into a fiery oblivion.
Cosmo Royale declares they should turn BADpipes into BiGpipes and hits the gigantification button.
Brody arrives just before giant Badpipes appears. Rangers call for their Zords which form into the Ninja Steel Megazord. Not doing well enough against Badpipes' giant folding fan and extending horn-shaped nose, Red Ranger calls forth the Rumble Tusk Zord to form the Rumble Tusk Ninja Steel Megazord, by which they break off Badpipes' nose and destroy his fan. Calling out the Rumble Tusk Ninja Steel Megazord Double Axe Final Attack, they destroy Badpipes. Rumble Tusk trumpets their triumph.
Galvanax blames Ripcon's "interference" for costing him the Power Stars and takes his wrath out on a nearby Kudabot - complete disintegration - as an example of what will happen to Ripcon next time he fails.
Looking on, Madam Odius laughs evilly. She enters a secret passage behind a Galvanax poster, where she keeps a human stowaway bound to a chair and connected to a transfer machine, with tubes running into a helmet strapped to his head, apparently feeding his brain.
At the Moonlight Dance, Calvin and Sarah impress the crowd and the other Ranger teens with their dancing. In the hallway, Monty (dressed in lace-fronted Baroque) finally arrives to present Victor (dressed in bell-bottom pants, open torso front Disco) with a pair of automatic dancing shoes. Donning the shoes, Victor congratulates Monty and slides out onto the dance floor on his knees. Monty hits the remote control and Victor starts dancing. Soon the shoes short circuit. Monty can't turn off the shoes as they take Victor into the hallway and set his feet on fire. Victor yells for help and Monty runs after with a fire extinguisher. The crowd oos and laughs.
Calvin asks Hayley for a dance, but she temporarily declines and heads to the lab.
In the lab, Hayley, barefooted, asks Redbot for a dance. Redbot is delighted and they dance. The other Ranger teens appear and join in. Even Kody joins in.
