Well I watched the whole thing which is quite surprising because it was a lazy Sunday afternoon and I'd had all of an hour sleep the night before. I thought I'd fall asleep pretty quick which is what usually happens when I watch a movie with the intention of actually watching it while I'm tired but nope, I think this moving was so ordinary it kept me awake. The acting was poor at best, and the cold zone sure did spread south rather quickly. But at least the young bloke got a quick kiss from the girl he saved before they took off and saved them selves. I can't see a sequel coming for this one unless people want to see a refuelling episode.
This is the worst movie ever, bad enough for me to leave a review. I know there are still lots of hardwork and acting in it and as always I appreciated that in every movie. and I'm not even expecting great CGI or visual fx... the real problem is there are many scenes doesn't make sense ..in another word .. stupid. Does the script and plot written by a teenage kid or what. And the main actor doesn't have the charm.. he act ok but just doesn't feel good enough. the ending is one of the ridiculous I ever heard. i bet the actors and crew probably feel ashame and frustrated to be in this movie. i hope this is their first movie and will make a better one next time. if you have time to kill and got nothing to do. pls look for another movie... not even worth to kill your time.
Film shooting was in southern Alaska, probably in April, not December, as represented.
Snowflakes in the film are large and wet. Thats's warm weather snow. Drastic cold, which is supposedly threatening, lack fluid and is powdery.
No one is properly dressed for the hyper cold, being outside at -40, unprotected, freezes skin, yet these jerks are without gloves and face coverings, etc. As if it was 40 above.
Hey! This is life and death stuff! Hero! Heroine! Mother! Father! Boyfriend! Girlfriend, a coming of age film. A saving the world film.
The writers didn't know what the movie was supposed to be, so they punted...all the way. They should have their pen and paper revoked, permanently.
The writers and actors must have thought it was better to get face time on camera, rather than a sense of reality, on the most basic level of moviemaking.
The father, never having flown a helicopter, pilots through weather so rough, that even a professional pilot would struggle with. At 40 below, one has face covering, gloves, mittens, mukluks, parkas.
Amateurish & unbelievable on every level. Imagine having your tombstone carved with "cast member in "Cold Zone," for the world to see!

I wish there was a zero. This has to be the worst film I have ever watched. The packaging looks good enough to buy. Ops...I did. The plot was written buy a 3 year old and the best bit of acting was the dead blackbird. In the end I watched it just to pick faults of which there are many. Please don't be fooled by the first 3 minutes, it goes down hill quicker than the Titanic.
The movie doesn't make any sense from beginning to end. The script is crazy bad. At the beginning there was a little bit of action. But every single thing was so obvious. I have to say I like the general idea of the movie I mean that's why I bought it. But the execution was really sad... I really think with a slightly better script and little bit more scientific backup the movie could be a average movie. And also I have to say the visual effects where incredibly bad and unfortunately there were too many of them... also that the ice storm has a sound like a monster in a horror movie I mean come on it's a storm not a monster.
But I have to say are probably worse movies out there so I won't give this movie a 1 Star Review rather a 3 star one.
