It's the Wild West, circa 1870. Samuel Alabaster, an affluent pioneer, ventures across the American frontier to marry the love of his life, Penelope. As his group traverses the west, the once-simple journey grows treacherous, blurring the lines between hero, villain and damsel.
This is really a deep heartwrenching and very sad film about people seeking for their somehow lost children. what i liked about this film were the steady float of the story, very nice filming and very well set locations, without making any great significance of a blockbuster movie.
the main character, are kind of a grey, dull and quite emotionless girl, most likely formed so due to socioenvironmental causes.the acting is great, but i wish the director could have put a smile on that motionless face.
the score strengthens the sad undertone of the film,it was not my taste of film music anyway.
its a film that will never be made a sequel to ,therefore i feel scamed for not being told the answer to the big question, what did the dna say!!!!!!!!!!!!
its a good film,i will recommend it,but not if youre really depressed.
