The Sincerest Form of Flattery

The title of this episode comes from the proverbial expression, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." It is a proverbial expression that dates from the early 19th century, although versions of it existed well before then. An expanded paraphrase by Oscar Wilde (1854 - 1900): "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness." [02.17.2020]

The zealots on Earth two trained Claire, then created a hole so Peter could get a high level job so Clare, as his wife, could spy on him. This is a MAJOR plot hole that shreds the entire story-line. Decades earlier when they began training Claire, they could not have possibly known that Peter on Earth one would meet, fall in love with, and marry Claire from Earth one. The whole plot assumes the people on Earth two had knowledge of the future which they could not possibly have had.
