Trivia

The title of this episode comes from the proverbial expression, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." It is a proverbial expression that dates from the early 19th century, although versions of it existed well before then. An expanded paraphrase by Oscar Wilde (1854 - 1900): "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness." [02.17.2020] See more »

Quotes

Mariel: [gruffly] You're not some stupid little girl who gets to make friends boyfriends and hopes and dreams. You are a soldier. If that makes you angry, think of who took it from you and focus on that.
Young Clare: [grimaces but doesn't cry]
Mariel: Congratulations.
Young Clare: For what?
Mariel: You're truly suffering now. It's beautiful. It means you're growing.

It's all making perfect sense, now!

A lot was explained in this episode. The series has definitely proven itself as exceptional sci fi, and I look forward to a long life and many years ahead with it.

Unfortunately, too many critics and faux sci fi aficionados are too dumb to get the better books, movies, and series, expecting only lasers and space explosions for their attention...
