Did You Know?

Delta, along with SEAL Team 6, is supposed to remain "black" and unknown to the public. Even when they're killed in battle, the Army refuses to disclose their true unit. Other Special Forces Units, on the other hand, are considered Tier 2 or "white SOF," with many missions that are known to the public and even encourage media coverage. Sure, the Green Berets often operate in secret, but unlike Delta, their existence isn't one. See more »

Most of the mission countries where Seal Team operates in bear no resemblance to their real world counterparts. With the exception of Belgrade, Serbia, Afghanistan and Mexico. For instance, Kinshasha, the capital of DR Congo is portrayed as being near the Savanna when in reality Kinshasha is a leafy coastal city on the Congo River. Congo is nowhere near any savanna. The Congolese geography is mostly forest and rolling plains. The team would've had to travel to rural Kenya or Tanzania before operating in any savanna like geography. See more »

Good action hero stuff.
14 May 2020 | by refordgarrySee all my reviews

First 6 episodes were like a pilot, a bit trite, reminiscent of kid's TV. However the paychecks obviously got signed after that, since from stand-alone episodes we thence found ourselves in a good ole serialized war-drama. In those 22 episodes the audience got dragged a long distance, in terms of both intensity, plot and character development. One of the most impressive things about Seals is its ability to morph and evolve, with writers' ears tuned towards audience. Well Done!
