Considering the fact the book was written by her ex staff members, the series portrayal of Jenni Rivera made her look like a cheater, ungraceful, mean, rude and an uncaring mother.
Who the hell is Eric??? This guy is shown to be the diva's main lover and sidepiece in the show. From everyone's knowledge, her lover and true love was Ferine, who she wrote songs about. She is shown time and time again having sex with a man named Eric and having an affair behind Fernie's & Esteban's back.
Fernie is bald. Why does he have hair on the show? Could they not find an actor who is bald or could they not afford a bald cap?
They also made the whole family look like they were all after her money and that she didn't give a crap about her parents. Chiquis on the show was shown to be a brat and immature. In the 1st episode, Rosie was talking smack about Jenni and her career, which I doubt she would do. How would the ex-manager Pete know about this conversation?
She also looked like she didn't care one bit about her staff on the show. They honestly made her look like a trashy person and a b****.
On the show on Mother's day, the kids didn't want to bother to give her anything because she wasn't a mom according to them. Again, how would the writers know about this unless they were there?
Why do they show Jenni on the show having so much sex? What the hell?!
It's no wonder the family sued the show and program because it was made so bad. Everyone in the show and the writers made Jenni Rivera and her family look bad in appearance and personality. Pete S and Gabriel V were the original writers of the book but they became ex-staff members after Jenni accused them both of stealing. Now they both get together and write a book in which they appear to talk smack about her and her family. I thought the show was going to portray Jenni Rivera in a good way, but it was the opposite.
A true fan would not support this show or give this show a good rating. Save time. Do not watch it. Read her book instead or watch Mariposa de Barrio.
