While staying at a cabin in the woods during the weekend, three teenage kids discover their neighbor is 'feeding' guests to her zombie family. In short order, the battle is on as the kids fight to save themselves and their family.
I loved how the movie started out, with great cinematography and mysterious ideas. Soon jokes flew in from all sides and it was like Cabin in the Woods, but not as good or engaging. However, this is basically Evil Dead Lite, a kiddie version of a horror movie. It looks good but something's off the entire movie. The actors do a wonderful job. Jokes are all hits. Just relax, turn off your mind and enjoy it for what it is - a very weird horror comedy. Oh, and yeah, the dad steals the show 10/10 times. He's the best bit.
