Trivia

There are several references to the O. J. Simpson trial in this episode. Before the jury visits the Henderson home and crime scene, Josh and his defense team redecorate the house, removing homoerotic items they think will make the jury unsympathetic to Larry and adding football memorabilia (because they discover that one juror is a big fan of the local team). This is very similar to something that Johnnie Cochran and the rest of Simpson's defense team did before jurors visited his home: they removed photos of Simpson with white women and replaced those with pieces of African art, photos of Simpson's black family members, and a Civil Rights-themed Norman Rockwell painting from Cochran's own office--all of which was calculated to make Simpson seem more sympathetic to the jurors. Also, before the jurors arrive at the Henderson home, Josh tells Larry to change into more casual clothing--preferably something sports-themed. Larry protests that he only owns one very old jersey. When he comes downstairs with it, it is an O. J. Simpson jersey, which Josh immediately rejects as inappropriate. See more »
