Under Siege: The Making of Demon Knight (2015)

*** 1/2 (out of 4)

Actors Billy Zane, Dick Miller, William Sadler, Brenda Bakke and Charles Fleischer are joined by director Ernest Dickerson, co-producer A.L. Katzm and screenwriters Ethan Reiff, Cyrus Voris and Mark Bishop as they discuss the making of the film TALES FROM THE CRYPT: DEMON KNIGHT. The production of this one seems to have gone a lot better than that for BORDELLO OF BLOOD so this featurette doesn't have all the gossip and so forth but it's still a highly entertaining one if you're a fan of the film.

The best thing about this is that it gives you a great idea of what the production was like from the original plans to make this a trilogy but then we also learn why that didn't happen. From here we get some really great stuff with Dickerson as he talks about the casting as well as his love for monsters. The cast interviews are terrific with Zane telling some wonderful stories and of course there's Dick Miller who also has some great stuff to say. The entire cast pays tribute to Miller so fans of his will enjoy seeing that. Everything from some changes made to the script to the final release are discussed in good detail so fans will enjoy this.
