Stx Films announces Bad Moms’ Moms

Stx Films has announced a new instalment in the Bad Moms comedy series, with Christine Baranski, Susan Sarandon and Cheryl Hines set to reprise their roles from A Bad Moms Christmas for Bad Moms’ Moms.

The news was revealed during Stx’s CinemaCon presentation, with Stx Films chief Adam Fogelson describing the project as “a whole new adventure that is attracting all sorts of great talent.”

At this point, there’s no word on whether writers and directors Jon Lucas and Scott Moore will be on board for the third instalment, nor has it been revealed whether original Bad Moms stars Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn will be back.

Stx scored a surprise hit with the original film back in 2016, and almost immediately announced its plans to expand the franchise with a number of feature film spinoffs – including Bad Dads – along with digital shorts and a reality series.

Instead, the new story will focus on the Moms' mothers played by Cheryl Hines, Susan Sarandon and Christine Baranski.

Stx announced early on that it had plans for 10 more Bad Moms movies when the first became a giant sleeper hit back in 2016. The sequel arrived just a little over a year later, with A Bad Moms Christmas hitting theaters in November 2017.

Cheryl Hines, Susan Sarandon and Christine Baranski were all introduced in the sequel. And this next adventure will focus solely on them.

'Alita', 'Happy Death Day 2' and 'Isn't It Romantic' Debut Over President's Day Weekend

'Alita', 'Happy Death Day 2' and 'Isn't It Romantic' Debut Over President's Day Weekend
In recent years President's Day weekend has given us hits including Black Panther, Deadpool and Fifty Shades of Grey. This year's crop, however, isn't expected to debut to such lofty heights. While Fox's Alita: Battle Angel hopes to edge out WB's The Lego Movie 2 for the weekend's top spot, look for Universal's release of Blumhouse's Happy Death Day 2U and WB and New Line's Isn't It Romantic to battle for third and fourth position over what looks to be another down weekend with the top twelve poised to deliver less than half of last year's total, which was energized by Black Panther's monster debut. Getting its start last night and bringing in $2.4 million from Wednesday evening previews (and grosses from Tuesday night fan event screenings), Fox's Alita: Battle Angel carries its lofty, $175 million production budget into 3,790 locations today. The long-in-development title has been in the IMDbPro

Kathryn Hahn Is Ready for Another Limited Series With ‘Mrs. Fletcher,’ Because 22 Episodes a Season Doesn’t Appeal to Her
The days of actors getting props for navigating between film and television projects are long gone. It’s no longer all that impressive to line a resume with movie and shows, simply because the landscape has shifted to include lots more than just traditional theatrical releases and broadcast television. The streaming world is massive, films can still break out on VOD, and the lines have been redrawn. Still impressive, though? Kathryn Hahn, who moves between worlds with such ease that she doesn’t even make a distinction between them.

“I really don’t see the difference anymore, especially with these incredible short order television series, like eight to 10 episodes,” Hahn said in a recent interview with IndieWire. “It’s a movie slot, basically, [that] you’re doing. That’s why I think you’re getting these fabulous, incredible major movie stars that are willing to commit [to these shows]. … You’re able to really
