Winnie Madikizela Mandela is one of the most misunderstood and intriguingly powerful contemporary female political figures. Her rise and seeming fall from grace, bear the hallmarks of epic tragedy.

Storyline

While her husband served a life sentence, paradoxically kept safe and morally uncontaminated, Winnie Mandela rode the raw violence of apartheid, fighting on the front line and underground. This is the untold story of the mysterious forces that combined to take her down, labeling him a saint, her, a sinner.

Interesting but deeply biased

It's a whitewash, or should I say blackwash. She is a very manipulative woman and all kudos to her for that.. She used Mandela and others, carefully brushes over her past times whilst Nelson was in jail. The African necklace will always be associated with her, the football team were well known in the townships. Vote for Winnie, or play their game. She's like a poisonous wife or mother from the Roman Empire, BUT she'd probably be better than what the ANC rule with now.
