At roughly 35 minutes in we see an alarm clock with the digits 11:59. The numbers change to 12:00 and a small red light appears on the top left of the clock display. This light signals that the clock is now on PM rather than AM. The scene is supposed to take place at midnight but the clock shows that it is noon. See more »

The Producers and Writers Have a New Goal -- To See How Bad They Can Make This Show, and Still Have Viewers
16 December 2017 | by cyifly-2See all my reviews

As a huge fan of the show, it pains me to say that it has turned really bad. The show has gotten WAAAY off track. The Walking Dead was one of the best on TV for one simple reason -- You had to ask yourself, "Did that person make the right decision? What would I do if I was in that same situation?" Every show was like that. The reason the show was always so intriguing was because you could never fault any of the characters for anything they did -- Good or bad -- because you really don't know what you would do if you were in the same situation. The moral pulling, the fights for survival, the quest for peace, the desire of someone to care for you no matter how bizarre the relationship. All of these things glued you to the TV -- Not the zombies. The zombies are cool, but were just a bonus. Now... Here we are. Nothing about the show was as intriguing as it once was just a short time ago. Now it's hard to care about any of them because they all seem tedious and annoying and don't ask you to check your head any more.

It has become very, very obvious the network has asked that the show be extremely drawn out -- to the point of boredom -- to draw in more ad revenue. They can't do one thing right, because if they do, they've got to do it to death and screw it up anyway. If a few episodes made good money in one season, let's draw out the next subject/situation over 2 seasons. If the ratings are high, let's get them higher by splitting the season and market reruns while we make them wait for the second half of the season. The problem is, most fans are getting tired. Tired of the stupid plots. Tired of the 'war' being drug on so long. Tired of the seasonal breaks. Tired of the bad writing and bad decisions from the networks to squeeze every dollar they can. Tired of having the heroes turn into incompetent panzys that can't defend themselves after watching them kick ass for so many seasons. Tired of having Neegan close to being caught, shot, pounded, and dead -- just to have him walk away and drag this out more. Enough already.

There is no more reason to watch. All the reasons to watch the show are gone. The writing has gotten so bad, it's hard to watch anymore. There are no moral decisions to scratch your head over. That hasn't happened in the last 3 seasons. Well... season and a half split up into 3 seasons. We are actually on season 12 now, right? It's obvious they are just going to do this to death to soak in as much money as they can and I just don't care any more. Neither does AMC. AMC is trying to see how bad they can make this show, how long they can drag it out, and still have viewers -- While they laugh at us all the way to the bank. I'm glad they ended Breaking Bad when they did, because they could've ruined that great show the same way too.
