Death, Be Not Proud: A 'Wonderfull' Time (2016)

*** 1/2 (out of 4)

Barry DeVorzon, Carter DeHaven, Brad Dourif, Mike Smithson, Bill Forsche, Leslie Dilley, Brian Wade, Tracey Thorne, Ronald Colby, Daren Dochterman, Kara Reidy and Todd C. Ramsay were all involved with the production of THE EXORCIST III and they are featured in this documentary that takes a look at the making of that picture.

This here was the first of a five part featurette and this one clocks in at 24-minutes. This here has the first seven minutes with everyone talking about how they first heard of or saw THE EXORCIST and then they move onto their rather negative thoughts on EXORCIST II. From here we get into the production of the movie and learn about how the project got going and then we get into the casting and shooting of the movie. There are a great number of stories told throughout the featurette with one highlight coming from Thorne who discusses what a fan of George C. Scott she was and how watching him too intensely got her kicked off the set. Dourif's reaction to EXORCIST II is also rather priceless. Fans of the film will certainly enjoy this.
