Female-Led ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ and ‘Black Widow’ Top Fandango Poll of 2020’s Most Anticipated Movies
Four films directed by and led by women — “Wonder Woman 1984,” “Black Widow,” “Eternals” and “Mulan” — were ranked as the most highly anticipated movies of 2020, according to a poll conducted by the ticketing service Fandango.

Fandango surveyed 2,000 millennials who used the site during the final weeks of December for their choices of the movies and performances they’re most looking forward to in 2020. For the first time, the online group of voters selected movies that were all directed by women for the top spots.

Other films on the list included the 25th James Bond film “No Time to Die,” John Krasinski’s “A Quiet Place 2,” Cathy Yan’s “Birds of Prey,” the musical “In the Heights,” Pixar’s animated film “Soul” and “Fast & Furious 9.”

The Most Anticipated Movies of 2020 According to Fandango

Joseph Baxter Dec 27, 2019

Wonder Woman 1984 nabs the top spot in a 2020 Most Anticipated Movies survey, heading a top 4 dominated by female-fronted films.

As Christmas afterglow resonates, the world prepares to wave goodbye to a moviegoing decade dominated at the box office by comic book movies, its adjacent genres and the Disney-driven return of Star Wars. Thus, Fandango’s 2020 Most Anticipated Movies survey is looking ahead toward the launch of a ‘20s decade that, based on what we’re seeing, will be roaring in its own right with a scintillating slate of initial releases.

The ticket seller site polled more than 2,000 millennial film fans during the last weeks of December, yielding a series of results that, while not stupendously surprising, paints an intriguing picture when it comes to the trajectory of the aforementioned genres of movies.

Wonder Woman 1984 is the clear winner of this annual filmgoer survey, topping the “Most Anticipated Movie” category,

Ryan Reynolds and Camila Cabello's Game of "True Confessions" Hit Some Unexpected Turns

  • Popsugar
Ryan Reynolds and Camila Cabello put their persuasion abilities to the test in a round of "True Confessions" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. During the Dec. 12 episode, the 43-year-old "Free Guy" star and 22-year-old "Señorita" singer played the game, in which they had to guess the validity of someone's claim. Ryan was naturally skilled at sharing his disclosure - which was "My mom once washed her hands with a urinal cake" - while keeping a poker face.

Camila, on the other hand, admitted to being "a bad liar." But when she confessed that she once lost Taylor Swift's cat, it was pretty hard for Ryan and Jimmy to gauge her honesty. Watch them interrogate Camila to see if she really was responsible for losing one of Taylor's beloved pets in the clip above!

Ryan Reynolds Calls ‘Free Guy’ a “Modern-Day Back to the Future”

The first Free Guy trailer dropped online last week at Ccxp, where I was lucky enough to be in the room for the panel and get a sneak peek at some exclusive footage from the film and a few more details on what to expect from the original new action-comedy from Stranger Things and Night at the Museum director Shawn Levy. The film stars Ryan Reynolds as Guy, a bank teller who realizes he's a non-playable character in a shared-world video game called Free City and becomes a viral phenomenon when he takes his life into …

Hugh Jackman Hilariously Trolls Ryan Reynolds Over Free Guy

Oh, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. What are they like? Frenemies for life, it seems. They’re always back and forth with online teases and jabs at one another’s expense, often with humorous rebuttals from the offended party. Yes, they’re constantly cracking wise with each other and it seems as if Jackman has now gone one further than an accidental “leak” on Mr. Deadpool’s birthday.

In an amusing piece of photoshop trolling, the Wolverine and X-Men actor recently uploaded an image on Instagram of the poster for Reynolds’ upcoming movie Free Guy. Only, it’s not the official poster, as it contains Jackman’s face superimposed where Reynolds’ should be.

The post is complete with a snarky comment by the actor, too, saying there’s been a “small edit to make this a much better promotional tool,” implying the original was not doing its job of hyping up the film.

Deadpool’s Ryan Reynolds Reveals He Was Once Hit By A Drunk Driver

Ryan Reynolds has taken his fair share of beatings on the big screen. Deadpool is constantly being decimated by his enemies in the most brutal ways, only to return stronger and funnier than ever. In real life, however, Reynolds is no Wade Wilson. He’s just as human as the rest of us, albeit much better looking than most. This is why when he was hit by a drunk driver in his youth, he didn’t instantly recover like the titular character in his superhero movies.

The beloved actor recently revealed a scary story in which he was mowed down by someone who had a little too much to drink. In his own words:

“Having kids was pretty great but probably not the most exciting answer because billions of people have done that. The most exciting that has ever [happened to me]? I don’t know. I know, in this movie, you see

Ryan Reynolds Narrowly Escapes a Collapsing Barricade at Comic-Con Experience in Brazil

Ryan Reynolds Narrowly Escapes a Collapsing Barricade at Comic-Con Experience in Brazil
Fans were so excited to see Ryan Reynolds at a recent event in Brazil that the star was nearly crushed by a toppling barricade — but luckily, the actor and everyone involved made it out unharmed.

The Deadpool star, 43, visited Comic-Con Experience in São Paulo, Brazil this weekend, and when he jumped off the stage to greet fans, the barricade between Reynolds and the crowd buckled and collapsed.

“Well, ordinance collapsed and that was a little, I think it looked worse than it was,” Reynolds told Entertainment Tonight of the surprising moment.

“All I was worried about were the people that

Ryan Reynolds Breaks The Silence On Almost Getting Crushed By Stage Barrier

Just because you’re hot that doesn’t make you impervious to damage. Ryan Reynolds, one of the hottest dudes to ever be hot, must have seen his whole filmography flash before his eyes when he was almost crushed to smithereens at Ccxp over the weekend. While there to promote Free Guy, the action hero apparently excited the crowd so much that they almost literally killed him. It’s kind of insane, but he’s now broken the silence on the incident, explaining what happened.

As he sat down with Entertainment Tonight, the Deadpool actor had the following to share:

“Well, ordinance collapsed and that was a little, I think it looked worse than it was. All I was worried about were the people that were — what you could tell is that they were falling, like, ‘Oh, they’re gonna be fine,’ and it’s like, ‘Oh, but that leg is gonna go,

Ryan Reynolds Says Free Guy Is His Favorite Movie He’s Ever Made, Not Deadpool

Ryan Reynolds has never kept his love for Deadpool a secret. In fact, he’s one of the primary reasons why the extremely popular franchise was able to get off the ground in the first place. Wade Wilson will always hold a special place in his heart, then, but apparently neither one of the two installments is his favorite movie in his extensive filmography. That distinction belongs to Free Guy.

In his own words:

Free Guy is my favorite movie I’ve ever made, and that means a lot to me because I made Deadpool.”

This is quite high praise for the upcoming action comedy, which stars Reynolds as a bank teller named Guy who finds out that he’s actually an Npc in an open world video game entitled Free City. After coming to grips with this stunning reality, he decides to finally take charge of his life and

Free Guy Is Ryan Reynolds' Personal Favorite Movie, Not Deadpool

Free Guy Is Ryan Reynolds' Personal Favorite Movie, Not Deadpool
Ryan Reynolds' time on stage at Ccxp this weekend proved to be very eventful, and even included a near death experience for the popular actor. When he finally did take the stage, Reynolds revealed the Free Guy trailer, and made a surprising declaration that is sure to excite and irritate fans in equal measure.

"Free Guy is my favorite movie I've ever made, and that means a lot to me because I made Deadpool."

Diehard fans of the merc with a mouth, Deadpool, are potentially going to be a little irked by this, as the comic book franchise that Reynolds himself had such a huge hand in finally bringing to the big screen apparently falls from the top spot on his 'personal favourites' list. Reynolds has famously been a pivotal figure in making Deadpool what it is, and was even rumoured to have been the person to leak the test
