User Reviews

Surprisingly smart, animated zombie film.
16 November 2016 | by darktalismanSee all my reviews

First off, let me say that the zombie story has been done so many times by now, it's nearly always a surprise to find something new and refreshing in the tale. The animation (iClone) is a bit clunky at times, but the story on this film is really outstanding. It is, in fact, closer to the spirit of the book of WORLD WAR Z than that film even attempted. The reason for the zombie outbreak is intriguing, and the result is a bit more socially horrifying than expected. The vocal cast does an exceptional job, across the board. If it feels like I'm trying not to go into too much detail about the movie, you're correct. Watch it for yourself. Aspects will be familiar (that's the same with any zombie tale), but it will have a fresh, and refreshing feel. The only reason I don't give it the highest review is the animation software used. However, for me at least, that was an incredibly small chip off of the whole. The script, the acting, the direction are all exceptional. I'm looking forward to more releases from this director.
