A very good dark comedy, that explores the idea of a maltheist world would look like, recommend it.
Killing God is a dark horror comedy by Caye Casas, the creator of The Coffee Table. The film serves as a satirical commentary on human flaws, existence, selfishness, and the hypocrisy of human nature. While it's not a movie that will appeal to everyone, I enjoyed it quite a bit. The characters and story almost felt like something Álex de la Iglesia might create.
One of the standout elements is the character who may possibly be God (played by Emilio Gavira). With his dwarf stature, scruffy facial hair, and rough appearance, he delivers a hilarious performance that left a strong impression.
If, like me, you've watched a lot of Spanish cinema, you might recognize much of the small cast. Eduardo Antuña (Common Wealth, The Coffee Table) was especially funny as Carlos. David Pareja (The Coffee Table, Magical Girl) gave a solid performance, Francesc Orella (The Invisible Guest, Julia's Eyes) brought humor to his role as the old man, and Itziar Castro (Skins) was entertaining as the unhappy wife.
I found the satire enjoyable and the concept amusing. However, it's worth noting that the movie is primarily dialogue-driven, so keep that in mind if you plan to watch it.
Overall, Killing God is a 7.5/10 for me.

This is a peculiar story about a marriage formed by Carlos : Eduardo Antuña and Ana : Itziar Castro who also produced the movie , living at a house when his father : Boris Ruiz and brother : David Pareja come to spend Christmas all get together . Then a weird midget : Emilio Gavira shows up and tells them that he is God .
A mysterious , strange and suspenseful Black comedy about a family and the rare events happening when at a countryside house suddenly appears a strange person who says he is God . The film has intrigue , some sympathetic moments and grisly killings by slashing and beheading with brief gory scenes . All the protagonists of the movie as Eduardo Antuña , Itziar Castro, David Pareja and Boris Ruiz give decent interpretations on their offbeat roles . Furthermore , brief acting by the always competent actor Francesc Orella .
It contains glimmering and shimmering cinematography by Miguel Prohens , though mostly shot in interiors . As awell as an atmospheric and moving musical score by Francesc Guzmán. The motion picture was professionally directed by Caye Casas and Albert Pinto . It won several prizes as Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre to best directors and best actress : Itziar Castro and Sitges International Film Festival to Best Feature Film and Toulouse Cineespaña nominee director Caye Casas and Albert Pinto .
