The socialite Pemberton couple throws another grand party at their villa, surprised when her tacky screwball sister Mackenzie Murphy shows up for the first time, clearly an utter misfit in their posh circles. However when the FBI shows up to arrest the couple for massive business fraud, black sheep Mackenzie doesn't have a minute to consider the barked 'request' to mind their three not-amused kids, and the house staff 'just a while'. By the time the runway parents call from overseas the can't regain the country indefinitely, it's already clear that Mac is unfit as house-or baby-sitter, let alone to raise spoiled brats, as they all found out to their peril. Chip is furious as her foppish advice to bluff a bully got him bloodily beaten, firstborn bitch Sabrina spares nobody in a brutal battle of dirty tricks, not even the owl she's supposedly championing as fashionable 'environmental activist'. Little Ben needs a proper mother figure. Written by KGF Vissers

Did You Know?

Sabrina Pemberton: I know you think you're pretty clever with this little plan to drink me under the table. But you see, there are two problems. You're not. And you can't.
[finishing her drink, she takes Mackenzie's and downs it]
Sabrina Pemberton: Peace out, Mackenzie.
[she stands up, grunts, and sits back down]
Mackenzie Murphy: Uh-oh. Something the matter?
Sabrina Pemberton: No, I'm good, I just felt kind of funny for a second.

(Un) Married With (Useless) Children
3 January 2017 | by Ed-ShullivanSee all my reviews

Do you remember Married With Children and the Bundy family? Well this is just a re-hash of that old comedy series with a fresh twist that the main character Mackenzie Murphy (Kaitlin Olson) who is a wild child 30's something who in this pilot episode decides to visit her wealthy sister and brother-in-law and their three kids. No sooner does Mackenzie arrive at the estate home when her sister and brother-in- law are arrested and charged with fraud which leads them to pay the bond and quickly leave the country to avoid serious jail time. That leaves the hard drinking, foul mouthed Aunt Mackenzie to look after the two nephews and teenage niece until her sister can make it back home, if they ever decide to return that is.

So the story is about the obnoxious Aunt Mackenzie living like one of the original Beverly Hillbillies but acting like Peg Bundy but with oodles of money to back her up. Mackenzie befriends the overweight Spanish housemaid who goes along with any crazy scheme Mackenzie wants to attempt such as knocking out the nosy neighbor and the local community security guard.

If this first episode is the quality of comedy we can continue to expect than I guess it will continue to gain some share of that type of audience that like scum humor and low class antics. Me? I give the series pilot a 3 out of 10 rating based simply on this pilot episode with about just as much of a chance as the series lasting any longer than the first 8 planned episodes.
