Excellent featurette taking a look at the music score for Brian DePalma's CARRIE. Composer Pino Donaggio sits down for the twenty-three minute featurette where he talks about a wide range of subjects including how he was hired, the Bernard Berrmann influences and the most difficult parts of the score. If you're a fan of CARRIE or of Donaggio then this here is certainly a must-see as there are some excellent stories told and the amount of details are priceless. I really loved how they allowed Donaggio to breakdown several of the scenes and talk in detail about his score and what he was trying to do with it. The "fire" at the end of the film is broken down in great detail and it was fascinating hearing Donaggio talking about what was needed to build up the drama. He also talks about the PSYCHO homages as well as other challenges in the soundtrack.
