Trivia

With respect to Sheehan, Irving tells Bosch to "Take the whole 48 hours." The 48-Hour Rule derives from the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in County of Riverside v. McLaughlin(1991). That case provides that when a person is arrested without a warrant, a probable cause determination must be made without unreasonable delay and cannot occur more than 48 hours after arrest. The time period for the 48 hours begins at the time of the arrest. See more »

Good Old Crooked Government
16 April 2018 | by HitchcocSee all my reviews

The smug politicians, including the mayor, are only interested in their own career paths. Sheehan is in jail and makes a great fall guy, being used to keep the protesters at bay. But Harry has been given an ultimatum. He has 48 hours to turn things around. He is also investigating what Eleanor was doing that got her killed. The chief is walking a fine line but Bosch hasn't done the best job of keeping him apprised. The ballistic evidence doesn't look good. Maddie gets in touch with her stepfather and he is also in serious trouble.
