    The Simpsons Effect

Not 1 laugh. Felt like a re-run and it was my first time watching it. Still passed the time at least.

Linkin Park joke less than a year since the lead singers suicide. Poor taste and, besides that, still not funny.

Hoping it gets better from here.

    Very forgettable and unlikeable

In this episode Francine is convinced by Roger to be interested on conspiracy theories as she finds out that her favourite TV show of the morning, the MORNING MIMOSA, is a CIA plot made by Stan to keep her calm during the morning at home and also for keeping her ignorant of the reality of the outside world. She gets upset and even tries to shoot at her husband only to be stopped at the last minute by Avery Bullock. In the meanwhile Steve and Klaus come to Snot's house for helping him moving in with her mom's new boyfriend Del (voiced by Kyle MacLachlan) but things take a turn for the worse when Snot's mom falls for Klaus.

This episode was a bit of a chore as at times it looked dull and there were two main unlikeable characters: Francine has never been annoying as in this installment and Del looked incredibly smarmy and arrogant. The plots weren't really involving to say the least.

    • Trivia
Roger's character in this episode looks exactly like Dean Haglund's Ringo Langley from The X-Files (1993), a character and show dedicated to conspiracy theories.

Mrs. Lonstein: Eveything okay down here? Oh, you turned this into a darling little rumpus room.

      Klaus: Yeah, it's pretty sick.

Mrs. Lonstein: Gosh, I haven't been in a basement like this since high school.

Mrs. Lonstein: [Journey's "Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'" plays on the jukebox] Ooh, this song. It really takes me back. Did I ever tell you about the summer I went on tour with a Journey cover band?

Klaus: This is literally the first time we've met.

      Mrs. Lonstein: Mmm, air hockey?

Klaus: No thanks. I don't feel like playing.

Mrs. Lonstein: [seductively] Aw, you're gonna make me play with myself?

[climbs on air hockey table, hits air conditioning which blows her skirt]

Klaus: Oh, no. The basement has her. Listen to me. We must leave this place right now!

[Mrs Lonstein flips the puck knocking Klaus' bowl towards her blowing skirt, sending him under]

      Klaus: Oh, boy.
