Storyline

Louisa's English friend Florence, wife of local doctor Petrides, and Leonora, the daughter of the Durrells' domestic. Lugaretzia, are both heavily pregnant though Louisa is more preoccupied with Hugh's suggestion they return to England together. When Leonora goes into labour Larry runs for Dr Petrides but he is called out after the vengeful Vasilia wounds Hugh, leaving Leslie to be a reluctant but successful midwife and for Louisa to deliver Florence's baby. As the family gathers for the christening there are various surprises and Louisa makes her mind up about the Durrells staying on the island. Written by don @ minifie-1
