Storyline

From the executive producer of The Walking Dead and the executive producer of The X-Files, this anthology series brings to life Aaron Mahnke's "Lore" podcast and uncovers the real-life events that spawned our darkest nightmares. Blending dramatic scenes, animation, archive and narration, Lore reveals how our horror legends - such as vampires, werewolves and body snatchers - are rooted in truth.

Interesting

While most of you are all tied-up in popular shows like Game of Thrones and what-not, I stumbled upon a series called Lore, made by Amazon.

This series, that brings to light real cases from the past, focuses on the more taboo part of history. Local traditions throwing shadows on modern times, myth vs the unknown, truth vs prejudice. The birthplaces, or lingering roots, of strange practices, for reasons that today seem hard to understand.

How did Bran Stoker think of vampires? How to deal with an irish fairy? Where do séances come from? How to use an orbitoclast? These are a few of the questions I never knew I had, that found well documented answers in this show called Lore, showing me yet another interesting, real, part of human history.
