Plot Summary

Disappeared without a trace? Was Elaine Dawson the victim of a woman murderer whom the police have hunted to no avail? Rosanna Hamilton misses her friend, who traveled to her wedding three years ago and never showed up. During her research, the London journalist comes across a lawyer, Mark, who is said to have been the last to see the missing person. Back then he let her stay at his home because Heathrow Airport was in chaos due to a computer failure and all the hotels were fully booked. Then their trail is lost. The police could never prove that he had committed a crime. Mark's pledges of innocence and his suspicion that Elaine might have gone into hiding gives Rosanna hope that Elaine is still alive. When the journalist appears on a TV talk show at her boss' urging to advertise her series of articles, a viewer suddenly answers. A woman lives with him to sublet: Elaine Dawson, Rosanna's friend in the missing person photo. With Mark, Rosanna makes her way to the isolated house near London without knowing what she might find.
