Before there's a sociopath, there's his childhood. Marcus struggles to manage his anxieties after a psychologically-manufactured incident in the woods of his isolated industrial town shapes his perspectives on life and death.
Marcus is a teen, battling anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder and a solitary existence in his small, industrial town. He spends his time playing violent video games in confinement, meandering the town's uninhabited woods and desolate construction yards, and avoiding interaction in his own seemingly fractured home. During one of his ritualistic expeditions, he pretends to hunt, using his finger as an improvised gun. Subsequently, he witnesses the death of a bird. This intimate event shapes the following twenty-four hours of Marcus's life as he copes with feelings of remorse, guilt, responsibility, and ultimately, pleasure.Written by
