    Involving and very well made

    Greetings from Lithuania.

"Just Say No", 8th episode of "Narcos: Mexico" was very involving and superbly made - as usual. Cinematography in this episode as well as the show itself is simply Oscar worthy, and although is a series, its made so greatly that it could be seen on the biggest screen possible.

Overall, episode 8th moved the story forward to the very intriguing finally. Its a very good season so far.

    An outlier of the season

I haven't been reviewing this season, but just had to critique this episode in particular. The action, for most of the season, has been fairly poorly directed, but it hits an all time low with this episode. Its attempt at a one take fight (because, uh, you know, that's trendy now) is honestly laughable, and is also not a fitting cinematic technique for Narcos whatsoever. I hated the cinematography of the entire episode too. You can't just be glamorous for no reason. Here, none of the fancy shots have meaning and it's really distracting. In addition to all that, I hated the editing of this episode, I hated the pacing of this episode, I hated the direction of this episode and, most importantly, I hated how much this didn't feel like the Narcos I love.

This is a definite outlier of this otherwise decent season (certainly the weakest season of Narcos yet though, without a doubt).

    Cliche 101

First 5 minutes is a Steven Seagal movie and the last five are a Jason Statham movie...It's that bad! Poor episode in an otherwise excellent series but as always with "Based in true events" stories, they've taken a liberty with it. Read the books, Rafa is guy based on various guys and wouldn't be allowed to do what he does in an organisation like this. Makes passable TV though.

During the shootout in the raid on the marijuana plantation, you can clearly see that Kiki's finger is off the trigger and yet his weapon fires.
