Trivia

The Slam poetry featured in the film have been written specially for the film by famous Australian spoken word poet and performer Candy Royalle who unfortunately passed away in June 2018. Candy was a Palestinian-Lebanese queer woman who was ferocious on stage, offering audiences a heady mix of lesbian sexual liberation and searing anti-colonial orations. See more »

Unprecedented mystery movie
4 February 2021 | by baldonimariaSee all my reviews

A mystery movie with all its elements in perfect agreement. Never the topic of racism had been represented this way, with these characters, and a strong, 'uneasy' actuality which perhaps explains why it got a very limited theatrical release. The main role is played by a virtuoso Adam Bakri who excels even in the Australian accent. Director Partho Sen-Gupta, like in Sunrise, goes very deep with the characters but stays consistent and simple with the story. His precise style, so graphic, rhythmic and dark, is definitely one to watch.
