  • None. A soldier is seen attempting to rape a woman. He is killed before doing anything.

Violence & Gore

  • Innocent people are assaulted by lots of soldiers throughout. They are violently murdered with blood splattering all over the walls and get seriously wounded. These scenes are extremely gory and disturbing.
  • Hundreds of soldiers are brutally killed. They are slashed across the the throat with blood spewing everywhere and are sliced down the middle with extremely graphic results. We see lots and lots of strong carnage throughout.
  • A violent duel ensues between two men on a beach. They tackle and punch each other numerous times. One them is stabbed in the kidney. He is wounded for a long time and he kills the other combatant by impaling him in the stomach with a sword, blood gushes out of his mouth and pours out of his stomach.
  • Two major characters are killed as a building collapses around them.
  • A man is pushed down some stairs, his head is bashed into a large rock, blood and brain matter splatters everywhere.
  • A major character is burned alive by a dragon. His death is kept off camera and he dies silently.

The depiction of medieval violence remains consistent throughout the second half of the episode, with hand-to-hand combat, stabbings, and other inherently brutal depictions of war fighting.

  • Most of the episode is shot like a horror movie with innocents being slaughtered and burned alive. Point of view shots showing the devastation of an entire city.
  • There are numerous brutal onscreen deaths with lots of blood and guts through methods such as impalement, people's throats being slit etc. (Most of these are innocent civilians). Not to mention an entire city is burned down along with the countless innocents living in it.
  • Depiction of a monstrous dragon emerging from darkness, then burning a man alive in an execution scene.

Violence & Gore

  • Half of the episode is a major character going insane, and an entire city being destroyed, along with thousands of innocent people. Men, women, and children are engulfed in flames; some of them get caught on fire and we see their burned bodies. This entire sequence is extremely upsetting.
  • Two major characters brutally fight each other to the death. This fight is most commonly referred to as "The Cleganebowl". They slash and stab, and punch each other repeatedly. During the fight, one of the men has his head slammed into a wall and the other man aggressively pushes his thumbs into the victims eye sockets, almost gouging his eyes out. He screams in lots of agony, he eventually stops after getting impaled in the face with a knife. They both fall off a building and into a large explosion.
  • Daenerys Targaryen with Drogon burned King's Landing, along with thousands of innocent people. Men, women, and children are engulfed in flames; some of them get caught on fire and we see their burned bodies. Entire city being destroyed.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Both main character deaths and deaths of the innocent civilians are extremely distressing in nature.
  • When the Clegane brothers Sandor and Gregor fight off, Gregor is shown to have a pale and horribly disfigured face. This can frighten some viewers.
  • Daenerys Targaryen with Drogon burned King's Landing, along with thousands of innocent people. Men, women, and children are engulfed in flames; some of them get caught on fire and we see their burned bodies. Entire city being destroyed.
