Trivia

Riley roughly translates the doctor's reaction as 'Screw you guys, I'm goin' home.' This is a catchphrase often used by Cartman in South Park (1997). See more »

Goofs

When Mac gets up from the ground after filming Bozer's monster scene, the first ping pong ball he removes from his face is the one on his chin. A few moments later, as he walks past Jack, the ball is still on his chin, but the two that were on his cheeks are gone. See more »

Quotes

Jack Dalton: [Disgruntled because MacGyver has knocked out the annoying, punchable Ralph] Aww, man. Seriously.
Angus MacGyver: [Tries to defend his action] Look...
Jack Dalton: No, I'm just sayin' we have clearly defined roles. Riley does all the computer stuff, you do your thing, and I do the punchin', all right?

Another extraction

"MacGyver"'s first episodes are shining in the writing department because of their lack of originality. The team has to go abroad, again, to get someone out, again, to stop some bad people of making things explode, again.

Happily for the viewers, the show amps up the humor and the inventions of MacGyver are fun and original enough to make the episode the best so far. Episode by episode, the series seems to be happily embracing the silliness of its premise and this time MacGyver will have to use his brain a lot to keep their target alive. It helps that the episode has an acceptable level of humor and a nice pace, with good direction (even if not particularly memorable) in the action scenes.

If it keeps this level, it will be watchable enough (even if it seems clear that it won't be able to come close to the levels of the original).
