To celebrate Jack London's 100th death anniversary, director Fx Goby adapted his famous novel, "To Build a Fire", tragic tale of a trapper and his dog in the freezing Yukon, into an animated short film.
On his way to a foreign military mission, Max (30) is getting caught up in a war-game with his neighbor boys. As Max gradually loses his self control, the boys get involved with his internal warfare and loose their innocence.
This short moves right along with eye catching photography and a well written script. There were really no negatives, even the casting was perfect. It was over too fast. An excellent use of a short amount of time if you get the chance to see it. Screened at The Heartland Film Festival, along with others.
