Das Leben danach

While I have been quite harsh on the main actress of this movie in another instance, the beginning of this movie seems to give her (and me) a break. There is something there ... there is something raw, there is something that seems to have real emotions and feelings attached to it.

Having said all that, not much time passes where it seems she goes back to indifferent mode. Which is quite unfortunate - while you may say it fits her character, I'd still argue that it is not nearly as apt and emotionally right. My perception of course and you may disagree. It is however an up and down, when it comes to her performance ... delivering things in an amazing fashion .. nor not at all.

The subject matter is a tough one to begin with ... and one based in reality ... a tragic event. The movie has some fine ideas about that and about how life ... continues ... or does it? Exactly ...

This is an unrealistic, pseudodramatic excuse of a movie. It is full of bad dialouge. Save 90 min of your life and skip this nonsense.
