Tolstoy would approve. One of the best stories I have ever seen made successfully into a movie. It really is a story for all year, not just Christmas. it's based on the idea if you serve others, especially the downtrodden, you serve heaven. The tone, the textures, the place and time.... incredibly put together. I watched it twice yesterday, and now Lithuania is on my bucket list. Everyone needs to know about this film.
