Taking place six years after saving the arcade from Turbo's vengeance, the Sugar Rush arcade cabinet has broken, forcing Ralph and Vanellope to travel to the Internet via the newly-installed Wi-Fi router in Litwak's Arcade to retrieve the piece capable of saving the game.Written by
The film is Jodi Benson's first film appearance in a Walt Disney Animation Studios film, following her iconic performance as Ariel in The Little Mermaid (1989), twenty-nine years earlier, as well as in its direct-to-video sequel and prequel. Benson also provided the voice of Barbie in Toy Story 2 (1999) and Toy Story 3 (2010), both produced by Pixar Animation Studios. She even made a cameo appearance in the Disney live-action/animated film Enchanted (2007), a film that is both an homage to, and a self-parody of, the Disney animated feature films. (The Little Mermaid (1989) is one of the films referenced.) See more »

The original was lean, focused, and heartfelt. Sadly for me, I am not feeling the same after seeing an early screening of the sequel. An abundance of plot (for a family animated movie), some heavy-handed messages (or at least too much repetition of these messages, as if the audience won't get it), and jarring metatextual moments made this feel a lot more manufactured than the first. Visually creative and includes some really cool action sequences, but missing something.
