The movie appears to take place in upstate New York (licence plates on cars are New York state, as well as some other American references); however, around 21:30 when Maria walks across the road you can clearly see her walking toward a Canada Post mailbox with a "University of Manitoba" sign above it. WOW ,, I didn't really expect it to be that good at first ,, but the plot is somewhat genuine and the events escalate with no dull gabs almost 80% of the movie had that mysterious tense dramatic effect ... the script was a bit short but for a low budget movie the montage, directing and casting .. all exceeded my expectations..
The casting was good .. India Eisley was phenomenal .. and i just remembered she was on the Underworld third movie i think back 2012 ,, and here she did well presenting the psychotic mind even if it had a bit of (sci-fi) element if you might call it ,, still she's all set to reappear in the next couple of months in the Drama "Adolescence" .. loved seeing Jason Isaacs and Mira Sorvino too.
final judgment .. definitely recommended ;)
