In the 2000s, Claes Olsson and his production company Kinoproduction also developed a film about Olavi Virta with writer Paavo Westerberg. Director Olli Saarela was attached to the project, with actor Peter Franzén rumored for the lead role. In the 2010s, Westerberg was to be the director from the new script finalized by Harri Virtanen.
