Deadpan spoof of Talking Heads' famous concert film Stop Making Sense (1984). In 1987, a new wave band called "Test Pattern" plays their final concert. The show also splices in clips from an interview with the band. The film is called "Final Transmission"

Unlike his co-stars Fred Armisen (a seasoned musician) and Maya Rudolph (former singer and keyboardist of The Rentals), Bill Hader had little musical experience prior to filming. However, he went on to play the bass guitar throughout most of the concert, much to the surprise of the show's sound mixer who thought he was faking it at first. He also sang lead vocals on the song "Everybody's Moving Around". See more
