A quietly paced , intensely genuine film with a different kinda script. While it takes place outside Toronto it's the sorta story that could play out in any small town. I really liked the director's balanced approach in portraying both sides. Neither of them are 'villains', they're just damaged people making poor decisions as people tend to do. Great character development with both lead actors did a fine job.
I've been watching a ton of Hollywood action flicks lately, the last one the adrenaline pumping "Crank" , great but exhausting! Coming across this little film felt like a much needed breath of fresh air. There's no high speed car chase through THIS mall and that worked for me.
