Roy and his younger brother, Jack, race across town like they always do. Until their world is shaken by the abrupt exit of their father. As the new man of the house, Roy wants nothing more than to get out of the house. In the process, he meets Chris, a bright-eyed college student with more time than things to do. The two hit it off, becoming best friends and business partners in local drug deals. As their relationship grows, so does their operation. Then, one night, a drunk Roy gets a call he never expected. His brother, Jack, has just overdosed. Overwhelmed with rage that is soon followed by guilt, Roy butts heads with his strong, damaged mother until she has finally had enough. From the first train out of town to the streets, Roy is now all alone with nowhere to go. With this grim reality, Roy begins to try and think his way back to solid ground, reflecting on how he has gotten here. Yet, even after a whole summer of retracing his past, he violently blames Chris for his predicament....
You're never alone.
