The Mind of Madness: Interview with Actor William Petersen (2016)

*** 1/2 (out of 4)

William Petersen is back in the talking about MANHUNTER again. If you're familiar with the film's home video releases then you know he was also interviewed for the Anchor Bay release back in 2001. With a running time of 18 minutes there's a lot more detailed discussions here about the casting, the production and what an obsessed mastermind Michael Mann is. Petersen starts off talking about how he met Mann and how it eventually led to the role in MANHUNTER. From here we get several great stories about the perfections that Mann needed on a technical level including one hilarious bit about an elevator. Petersen also shares a story about something he wishes he hadn't said to the director during the editing process. If you're a fan of MANHUNTER then you'll find this to be a wonderful interview. The subjects were discussed in the previous featurette but the answers are so much more detailed here.
