The chemicals cause him to transform into the Toxic Avenger, who has superhuman size and strength and stands up to bullies and corruption.

The Toxic Avenger” became successful after a long run as a midnight movie in New York City, leading to the sequels “The Toxic Avenger Part II,” “The Toxic Avenger Part III: The Last Temptation of Toxie,” and “Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger IV.” The property also became a stage musical production,

Are the days of the big name headliners disappearing?

Tom Jolliffe looks at whether the days of the superstar headliner are disappearing with audiences more drawn to franchises or film concepts than the stars attached…

You could say it started in Hollywood’s classic era. The movie star. The big name. They were in some ways manufactured, or at least their image was. Rock Hudson for example, a granite carved poster boy for masculinity, was hiding the fact he was gay (which was virtually sacrilege in those days). People would flock in masses to see particular stars in action, whether it was Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant, James Cagney, or the female starlets of the age, Katherine Hepburn, or a little later an icon like Marilyn Monroe.

There was a lull when the appeal of that studio led golden age was disappearing, and to an extent, the stars with it. Studios were like football teams. They had a squad of talent signed,

Fast and Furious Producer Hits Hobbs and Shaw Spin-Off with a Lawsuit

Fast and Furious Producer Hits Hobbs and Shaw Spin-Off with a Lawsuit
Universal is being sued by Fast and Furious producer Neal Moritz over Hobbs and Shaw. The spin-off hasn't had the best of luck since the project was announced. Certain cast members from the franchise have thrown shade at the standalone thriller, and now it's being sued by one of the franchise's producers. Production is currently underway, and Dwayne Johnson recently shared the first picture of Idris Elba's villain from the set, welcoming him to the team, along with Jason Statham. So, at the very least, things seem to be going well on the production side of things.

Neal H. Moritz claims that Universal Pictures is in breach of an oral contract between himself and the studio. Moritz goes on to claim that the studio committed "promissory fraud" when it removed him as lead producer on the Hobbs & Shaw movie. Moritz wants his lead producer title back and is claiming

Interview with Chin Han: More Talented Asians need to get an opportunity in Hollywood.

Due to the recent huge success of Asians in Hollywood, through productions such as “Crazy Rich Asians”, “Searching”, and Netflix series “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before”, it is no surprise that the room for Asian actors and actresses is getting bigger and bigger.

With more than 20 years of experience in stage, film and TV, Chin Han is one of the most active actors, and he has been expanding his career further in Hollywood. The veteran actor became an Academy member in 2018, the first Singaporean actor to do so.

His career is getting wider and bigger, starting from Singaporean Cinema, and breaking into Hollywood a decade ago. His roles get more significant as time passes, from “The Dark Night” to “Ghost in the Shell” to the Netflix series “Marco Polo”, and the recently released blockbuster “Skyscraper. ” However, the 48-year-old veteran still looks for another challenge in his acting career.

As far as recent releases go, Hotel Artemis and Skyscraper arrive on various formats this Tuesday, and while they both may not be straight-up genre films, each of these films flew under the radar upon their theatrical releases, and I found them both to be a lot of fun and very much worth a watch, so I felt like including them here.
