I am a bit disappointed with this second season. The first was d*mn near perfect for me: witty, funny, cynical, very original and mostly well acted. The first season I would rate 9 stars. But this season ... well. It is not only much darker and moodier, which would be fine by me, it is also less expertly done. Some plot holes are ok of course, considering the absurdity of it all. But some are just lazy. And the acting was also less satisfying than season one - even though some actors are thankfully still brilliant. There are some great additions too. To stay without spoilers I'll say this: I am very glad that Dirk Gently was renewed, and I enjoyed watching the second season for the most part. But it leaves me a bit underwhelmed. I hope they get season three back up to speed. PS: For those who are wondering. There is no real cliffhanger at the end of season two ;)
