Jules tells Brockmire that she got hooked on baseball as a child when her father took her out of school to watch Willie Stargell's last game. That game was played on Sunday, Oct. 3, 1982. Jules correctly described Stargell's last at bat as an infield single to the pitcher, so this is not a completely fabricated story. However, she would not have been in school on a Sunday. See more
