Another butch Afghanistan front veteran, colonel Ethan Willis, makes his televised entry by helicopter operating on one of three victims of a great white shark attack. Yet he shows sensible sensitivity dealing with Angus Leighton's frustration not to be allowed to treat his kin and the triangle between the surviving shark victims, sisters of major age difference. Mario Savetti has bad luck starting as newbies' mentor when an overruled call turns out surprisingly right due to a crazy sex game. Jesse Sallander mediates between lush cardiac patient Henry Underwood and his all but amused son Randall in wedding tuxedo. Due to budget cuts, Will Campbell's department has absorbed ER, so the cocky chief Leanne Rorish is duly demoted to his deputy.. Written by KGF Vissers

Season 2 is just as good as Season 1
29 March 2018 | by froggie101See all my reviews

I was definitely holding my breath when CBS took their time announcing whether there would be a season 2. I was a little put off initially when the cast changes were announced - not being a big fan of Rob Lowe's prior work - but his Ethan Willis character is excellent.

As the wife of a military retiree, I've met the "Willis' " who buck the system and break the rules for quality patient care. It is rare when a fictional character elicits a sense of respect from me. It is well worth your time to at least give it a try. There is a big pay off in the second half of the season, too. I am still so in love with the show.
