Storyline

Toni shows Mike "Compound D", a new drug being synthesized that hasn't caused side effects in the lab animals. She tells him that it hasn't been tested yet on humans. Mike questions Toni further regarding her refusal to be nonchalant about sex, and she admits she was in a bad relationship with a resident at the New York hospital where she once worked. Maggie suggests to John that he and Althea should move out from Nick's apartment building. Dan refuses to follow Dr. Spencer's advice to tell Matt about his heart condition. Later, Dan hides his medical records behind some books on his bookshelf. Carolee wants Dan to lift Billy's punishment so that he can have a birthday party. Dan agrees to take Billy out for a father-son dinner, though he won't allow a party where Billy's friends might view Carolee as Billy's new mother.
