Patrick Stewart’s ‘Star Trek’ Series, ‘Mayans M.C.’ & ‘Why Women Kill’ Score Tax Credits From California

Patrick Stewart’s ‘Star Trek’ Series, ‘Mayans M.C.’ & ‘Why Women Kill’ Score Tax Credits From California
On Star Trek: The Next Generation, Patrick Stewart’s Capt. Jean-Luc Picard was well known for telling his first officer to “make it so.” Well, it seems that the California Film Commission has followed the Enterprise commander’s order to the lucrative letter in its latest round of small screen tax credits allocations.

First announced on August 4 that The X-Men franchise alum would be back as Picard on a new CBS All Access expansion of the Trekverse, the “New Star Trek Series” was among three new shows series to be rewarded from the $90 million available for this TV projects period. Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry’s Why Women Kill, also for CBS All Access, and the very under the radar Flowers of Helvetica are the two other new shows to reap tax credits in this latest period.

Joining the December 2017 announced Season 9 of FX’s American Horror Story, Season 2 of

20 Sons Of Anarchy Fan Theories (That Change Everything)

Sons of Anarchy may have ended four years ago, but that doesn't mean that it has lost any of its popularity amongst fans. Kurt Sutter did an amazing job creating a series that was full of symbolism, expression, and most importantly, viewer interpretation. Forums like Reddit are full of different fan theories that pertain to the show and Sutter has said that he wants fans to make their own ideas about certain things. He loves the creative process of the mind and how different elements combine to mean different things to different people. Sons of Anarchy is a work of art, just like a piece hanging in the Louvre, and there have been a number of fan theories over the years since the series ended.

With the start of the spinoff series Mayans M.C., it has refreshed the fan theory machine, especially with the cameos of Soa cast members. In a way,

Sons Of Anarchy: 10 Characters Who Can Appear In Mayans M.C. (And 10 Who Never Should)

Nearly four years removed from the finale of Sons of Anarchy, Kurt Sutter's long-awaited sequel series Mayans M.C. has finally arrived, promising as much family drama and full-throttle action as its predecessor. Speaking to the cultural relevance of the show, star Jd Pardo descroned the heavy responsibility of carrying the momentum of Sons over to Mayans, saying that the transition feels natural, working more as a continuation of the world established in Sons.

Although the world of Mayans is far from the Sons empire depicted in the original series, the shared universe has remained intact, particularly when it comes to surprise cameos. While a multitude of Sons actors have already reprised their roles, including Katey Sagal as Gemma and Ray McKinnon as Lincoln Potter, no returning character's presence has been felt more than Happy Lowman whose appearance in the season one finale promises to echo throughout season two.

Mayans M.C. Season 1 Finale Recap: Unexpected twist promises contention in Season 2

The first season of Mayans M.C. is in the books and it was a great way to tell the story of the motorcycle club located in the fictional Santo Padre border town. Directed by Elgin James, the Season 1 finale of Mayans M.C. titled Cuervo/Tz’ikb’uul delivered arguably the most shocking twist of the entire season at the end of the final act. The finale episode begins as Ez is riding down a stretch of highway and in a beautiful shot. We see the reverse situation of the premiere episode opening scene. Mayans M.C. Season 1 Episode 10 Review: Cuervo/Tz'ikb'uul

  • TVfanatic
Oh, Happy Day! And no, I don't mean that literally.

After several teases, Mayans M.C. Season 1 Episode 10 finally revealed the person who was behind the death of Mrs. Reyes eight years ago. The reveal was stuffing.

Seriously, it was a major twist that could take Mayans M.C. in so many different directions!

Of all the possible suspects on my list, Happy from Sons of Anarchy was not on it. It didn't even occur to me when he first appeared that he was going to be used in any way other than a brief cameo.

Obviously, that's not going to be the case after this major reveal. The death was eight years ago, and we know from Mayans M.C. Season 1 Episode 1 that Gemma was alive and well then.

So that means Jax, and possibly even Clay was also alive. Could the Sons of Anarchy be behind the hit on Mrs.

If the name Michael Irby sounds familiar it's probably because he played a role on one of your favorite police or army dramas.

From True Detective to Seal Team, Almost Human to CSI: Cyber, Irby has played the good cop time and time again. However, on Mayan's M.C., Irby finds himself on the opposite side of the tracks.

Irby portrays Obispo "Bishop" Losa, President of the Mayans Motorcycle Club and cousin of Marcus Alvarez. I had the opportunity to talk with Irby and discuss what he enjoys most about this new character.
