- Josh is struggling after his mother's suicide. Tom and Ella decide to move out and are looking for a new apartment.
- Josh and those to who he is close are all adjusting logistically and emotionally with Rose's passing. Despite Josh dealing with his own grief, Mae asks him to speak to his father, who Mae believes is internalizing his own feelings, as she has not seen any outward expressions of grief from him. Although Tom and Ella have now long talked about moving out of the house into their own place, they as individuals are having mixed feelings as Tom seems to be progressing more on the issue now than he had before Rose's death, while Ella does not want to abandon Josh in his own time of grief. The one person who does not seem to be around either to help him grieve or show support in any other way is Claire, which irks Josh as one of his closest friends. Josh is dealing with the sale of his mother's house, which he has to decide if to proceed as emotionally it feels like losing his mother all over again. The house may be the biggest but is only one of many triggers which will send Josh into a crying fit of emotions. Josh feels lucky in that he has free counseling sessions with a therapist named Siobhan, who may help him deal with what he is feeling. Through it all, Josh, his friends and his surviving family members may find that the places have changed, but much of their lives remain the same in the post Rose world.—Huggo
- As Tom and Ella finally find a new apartment to move into, Josh is forced to find a place of his own. Josh decides to see a therapist, and Mae begs Josh to become a de facto therapist for Dad, who is moping about the place and refusing to let his real emotions show. Josh, Tom, Ella, Hannah and John spend a final night in the old share house that has been their home for so many years, before Tom and Ella's moving day sparks a massive argument. When Josh confronts Claire about the dwindling nature of their friendship, she distracts him by offering him a house warming gift that may just solve all of his problems. As Josh finally tries to make himself at home in his dream new apartment, some neighbours from hell and a knock on his door make it clear that his life isn't going to settle down any time soon.
