You have no idea where the story will lead you
25 February 2017 | by humdiSee all my reviews

There are moments where I'm lost at what genre is this started out as a drama then a satirical comedy then it surprisingly became a thriller and almost a creature feature, in the end it sticks to the humor. Its story progression is similar to that of a TV series hence the multi-genre impression.

I've only seen Melanie Lynskey once in the not so satisfying XX. I have to say that her innocent looking adorable face fits her role as a middle aged single lady having an existential crisis exhibiting childish persistence. She reminds me of Matilda actually.

Admittedly the gist of the story is pretty mundane but the repercussions of her actions brought some serious WTFs! credit to the director who obviously knows what he's doing.
